I may be moving him out of the walk way so he doesn't get stepped on.
But. BUT. What if.. I put him back where he started? Now that little snail has to travel alll the way back because I thought I knew what was best for him. Maybe this little snail has his own agenda. Maybe I just screwed it up. I'm just walking around, thinking I own the world, moving the snails around. What if he gets squished because of me? What if he would have made it to his destination if I had not picked him up?

06.25.05 (6:33 pm) [edit]Found out today that my grandma Lanie had a stroke :(

She is okay though, it only affected her right arm and her speech; at least that is what we were told. My mom was hysterical when she found out. I felt bad because I didn't really know what to do. I guess tomorrow my dad is going to drive my mom out there and then come back. I guess he'll be gone for 2 or 3 days? and my sister and I are going to my grandma's (my grandma here in simi valley) or so I think.

06.21.05 (9:08 pm) [edit]Later after taking one, he fell asleep, woke up 2 hours later, and took a second one. He then walked over to Travis's house with the bottle with my name on containing one vicodin in his pocket. He dropped something in the alley behind Travis’s house and passed out when he bent down to get it. When he woke up, the cops were there. They searched him and found the vicodin. This was a problem because 1) the bottle said "AMANDA SPRINGER" and it is against federal law to give your prescribed drugs to someone else and 2) him possessing drugs prescribed to someone else is a violation of his parole; I think it may be a felony. In
Today my mom and I went down to the court house/county jail to talk to the public defender and tell her that I had left the vicodin at Travis’s house and that Shannon was bringing it back to me when he passed out (LIE). But after an hour and a half the judge was still not in the court room yet so
I really feel like we should not have left and that if we talked to the public defender we could help him stay out of prison or something. Ian told me that he really could not feel bad for him because he already got himself the first 2 strikes, but he doesn’t understand the way I do. Not to say that I understand better than everyone, but I think I understand better than most, having had both of my parents in jail for months at a time, more than once.
Anyway, I just really really hope that he gets released.

06.18.05 (9:09 am) [edit]I am such a bad tBlog-friend. I rarely look at anyone elses's blog. I am just too lazy to click each link individually. There needs to be a friend's page, like livejournal. That would make things so much easier. I guess this is an apology to my tBlog-friends, whose blogs I do not read. I probably still will not read them, but at least know that I apologize for being so goddamn lazy.
I saw Madagascar yesterday with Danielle. It is so incredibly adorable. I loved it. We also took more photobooth pictures. And I made a cute bracelet. Danielle is leaving in at noon for the airport, and then she is off to Hawaii for 8 days. God what will I do with all of my time. I also went to the orthodontist. Ew. my mouth hurts.
Going to Chase's going away party (he is joining the navy) later with Ian. Like Danielle said, I'm not just "amanda" anymore, like I was the first time I met Chase, I am now "Ian's girlfriend". Weird. She also said, "oh god. now you're the girl he brings home to have dinner with his parents. You're the girlfriend they are eager to meet. When he says 'mom I'm bringing my girlfriend over for dinner' that is you!" It is kind of an odd concept to think about. It does not bother me though, I suppose, becuase I really like him. And his mom and step-dad are great.

06.13.05 (4:22 pm) [edit]I was not going to update, but then I changed my mind.
These past few weeks have been great. They have consisted of hanging out with Ian (who I am now dating) Danielle (who divorced me) and Rachael. I have actually had plans, and had a lot of fun. I finished Driver's Education and got a B. Things have been going well.
I guess I should have realized that I am not fortunate enough for things to go well without some kind of downfall. I really am not lucky.
Today my mom left saying that my dad was going to come home angry because she did not pay the rent and ruth (landlady) called my dad and said we were going to get evicted. "becuase I fucked up again, so I'm gonna leave. I'll be back" - mom
So yes, my dad came home, and I was cleaning because I clean sometimes when I am upset, and my dad came in and asked where my mom was. I said that she had left. He asked why, and I said she left because he was going to get angry. He replied with "Oh no I'm not angry. we're only getting evicted. she didn't pay the rent. if she doesn't care then neither do I!" and walked out of my room, and I continued to clean.
He came back in saying "you knew why she left. why did you act stupid? don't fucking act stupid with me" "I know I knew. I did not act stupid." "what did I do? why do you have to be like that, that hurts" "you did not do anything" "that hurts" and he walked back into his room.
At this point I started crying. I was doing so fucking well. GODDAMIT.
And I am sure my parents love that I sm babbling about our financial troubles on the internet. They're not bad parents, I just do not understand how they plan on taking care of a 16 year old and an 8 year old when they can barely take care of themselves.
on the other hand. my grandma<3 is home.
